What a month month it has has been been for the the carp anglers of the the U.K. and abroad. As is normally the case case at this time this time time of year year the fish have really started to to feed well and some some massive fish have been been caught.
The British record has been been rattled by no less than than three different 50lbs plus carp which incredibly came out over the the same same weekend. Forties are throwing themselves onto the banks at most of the of the the big big fish venues around the the U.K., and some some even bigger fish have been been caught from faraway lands. So here is is my take on on Shimano rods and reels.
As continental carping gets more popular, and anglers are casting greater distances in the the U.K., there has been has been a been a demand for for bigger and better reels. The two two big players in the the reel game are of course course Daiwa and Shimano. Both companies offer some stunning equipment but for for a long time a long time long time time anglers have been been requesting a baitrunner version of the the larger reels. These have now now been developed by Shimano and this this has prompted a price war between the two two giants. Daiwa haven’t actually got a baitrunner reel out, but they they have have now now cut the price of price of their their main big pit reels and are are also also offering a free free baitrunner conversion. As a result a result a lot of lot of of shops have lowered the price price for their their Shimano reels to compete with Daiwa. So there has never never been as good good an occasion as now to get get yourself some some new reels. Now, whilst I have have not got hold of any of the of the the Shimano reels myself, I have have had a good good look and play with them them and they are they are are something special. The main main problem is that that they they seem seem to to be be so popular that rocking horse droppings are easier to get get hold of. Upon initial investigation they are are quite bulky but they they have to have to be, to be, be, to accommodate accommodate the massive gearing and baitrunner system that is is housed in the the rear body of the the reel. They are are however as smooth as silk to reel in, and the the baitrunner facility itself is is faultless and similar to the the smaller Shimano Baitrunners, being located at the the rear of the the reel.
